University News.

Jinnah University For Women, located at Nazimabad. In this university there is a room for university girls so called common room, where the girls of all department come in free time to spend their time with friends.

I am the student of mass communication arts faculty, so mostly in one day two classes are conduct and mostly the time period of each class is 50minutes, than rest of our time spent in common room or library, so it is very difficult for us to stay their because the environment is SO bad all the things are so dirty that is carpet, furniture etc. A very dirty carpet spread in all over the room where the girls sit,sleep.

It is the duty of our vice chancellor that he must give concentration on every thing and make the university room and other things proper and clean and in an  organized way.

MELA at Jinnah University.

On 26th march 2011, an annual Mella was organised. Me and my friends were so excited to go there and enjoy the event. Me and my friends reached there at 12, there was a huge crowd. every one enjoying alot many girls came with her sister, cousins.
       
                         In Mela there were two tents in which different stalls i.e stall of jewellery, cosmetics, hair treatment for women, mehndi, embodied suit, decoration pieces and other accessories stalls were there which i saw and liked it alot, all the items are good. The atmosphere was full of colors and look very nice.
There were also stalls for face paintings, to play different games.

     There are many stalls in Mela but the stalls of food items were large in number like Qasree Sheree sweet stall, stall of New town bakery which i like alot, Chinese, singaporian, BBQ ,fast foods, Desi and other more items of food were available for girls to eat and enjoy it.The well known politician RAZA HAROON also came in this Mela. Samaa, PTV, and AJJ t.v reporters also came for the coverage of this Mela . Although i enjoyed alot because my friend is with me, it was a great spending time with my friends.

Citizen Journalism

 On 29th Jan , a lecture on citizen journalism was held for the student of mass communication in Jinnah university for women.


 The producer,anchor and documentary film maker of dawn news Mr.Owais Ahmed was the guest speaker.
 who explained us that what is citizen journalism and he said citizen journalism is "citizen's media and   networked journalism". He said that there are few things which are very inportant in citizen journalism that is:

• they have an ability to find such thing which are intersting.
• the necessity is to be real.
• You must have a confidence that your topic is intersting.
• Avoid plagiarize
• keep your eye open for every matter.
• Citizen journalism is the sharing of experiences.

He also describe four different types of citizen journalism.
1.Sharing of experiences
2.Sharing of opinion
3.Sharing of discoveries
4.Sharing of expertise

 

The lecture ended followed by the feedback on the dawn news' morning show "Mast Morning with Maira".

WORLD CUP; unite the people of Pakistan

As we all know that we live in a country where every thing happens on extreme either political aspects,entertaintment events whether sports series just like world cup "Cricket series".

After along time we can say that the event of world cup gave a brotherly hand and peace to Pakistani people which treated themselves as sindhi, balochi, pujabi, pathan as before this series. But during the period of worldcup these people gathered themselves as one nation or so called as "PAKISTANIS".

The worldcup fever had been seen every where, the people were very excited and hopefull to get a better result,and highly enjoyed the whole series!

The whole nation enjoyed the beautiful moments with emotional feelings. here we can say that at this time the pakistanis have similar ways and unity to encourage their PAKISTANI TEAM with positive ways and belief that no matter , what will happen we just love the team as team of "PAKISTAN"!. After along time this positive aspect has been seen...........

Time To Take A Stand

Whether accept it or not,but it is the truth or reality.We can easily say that we have a freedom of speech or we are living in such a country where justification and equality are followed and decision are made by keeping an eye of justices, but can we justify why Raymond Davis released with out any punishment? and why Afia siddique is in imprisonment since 2002? without any solid proof!. On the other hand we take the case of Raymond Davis who was a CIA contractor and he killed 2people without any reason, even he not able to justify the act in the court but he was released by our government without taking any action towards him.

　

Now i just want to stop you at this point and recall all the past happenings. There is not only a case of Afia or Raymond, there are a variety of cases in which our self respect,position and religion is being betrayed by the others and we are being crushed like a cookie. But we are not in a position to raise our voice against them, because we are not sincere with ourselves.
We can just take an example of Egypt that recently there is a revolution in it and government is forced to full fill the demands of the people. It is just because of one person who takes a stand to go against the system of injustice.

So by this we can say that the "Revolution in Egypt" is an eye opener to the people of our country, we must try to realize that nothing is impossible in this world and if we belief in the power of faith which the GOD has gifted us.

Now , at last but not the least i can say that if every person feel that he is responsible for his society than that day is not too far when no one dare to do this act again as did with Afia Siddique

Exams In The Mid Of Semester.

 
During the middle of each semester student must give a midterm exams in order to get marks which will included in terminal, this exams is to judge or test student on the material covered during first two months.

This midterm taken in our university JUW in the middle of each semester, which carry 20marks so mid-term dates were given in the syllabus. You can have all types of questions on an exams i.e multiple choice, articles and true false etc.

Some time it is very difficult for us to manage and gave equal time to every subject if specially you have two test scheduled in one day . During this period every girl trying their best , to perform good and take good marks in this mid term.For this we must sleep well and take nutrition because it is very good for our health and important factor in keeping our mind and body alert!

Problem Of Karachi

　
Traffic Hazzards In Karachi Karachi is the biggest city of Pakistan and included as the top most economical cities of the world. It has under go through many historical, political, social and economical crises. In the past ,the city was pleasant with hope and optimism, but when the population of teh city grew,it created thousands of unmanageable problems.Karachi has now become the city of problems.

City of light become darker day by day.Problems of basic needs are concerned with this city.One of the biggest problem is "traffic problem" the city of karachi is always under the process of extension and construction. Transport is one of them.Majority of people in Karachi travel in buses and minibuses, the no of buses and mini buses in Karachi has increased in the recent year but as compared to the need of population yhey are still very small.

The most annoying feature of the transport system in Karchi is the rude behaviour of bus conductors and of rickshaws and taxi drivers.The traffic in karachi is noe beyond control. due to reckless driving thousands of lives are lost every year. The main reason is the speed of young bike riders who never care about their as wel as the lives of others. Lots of kids and ladies becomes the victim of these people every year . Pedestrains find it difficult to walk freely on roads,traffic rules are openely violated.

Road Accident

Monday morning the local accident took place at about 9:00am on a national high way near Karachi when a bus carrying company employees and a bus carrying university students hit each other. At least 10 people were killed and over 80 other injured in a road accident.
Duty Officer at the police station Sub-Inspector Aijaz said the collision took place between a dumper and three passenger coaches including NED University's bus near Bin Qasim turning at National Highway, leaving two people dead and seventy injured.

　

According to the report or police the two buses hitting each other is belong to a steel factory and an engineering university. All the injured people shifted to the Jinnah Hospital in Karachi, doctors there asked the public for blood donation for ijured people. Emergency has been declared in the hospital.

We live in 21st century , where people wants to look beautiful and up to date. Whatever, they do is must to get satisfaction to remain fashionable! and for that they follow fashion according to their need and for mental satisfaction.


 As we all know thay we live in the society where fashion play a very important and dominant role in every one lives. They follow it, every where and every time either go offices,universities,either go to public places or go to some special occasions,the main target of every one is to dress up according to the occasion or event.

So......., the summer season is on the way to come,the people want to wear light outfits with skinny and tone light make up in this summer season.They want to wear such outfits which reflects their personality as cool, super and fantastic!




For this, many designers give their best efforts to satisfy their people . Different lawn exhibition ,bridal,casual wearing exhibition started in our country to make people aware with an "Easy way"!Fashion, a general term for a currently popular style or practice, especially in clothing, foot wear or accessories. Fashion references to anything that is the current trend in look and dress up of a person.
